Title: Sr. Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist will support the data management and advanced analytics for a complex, large-scale organization, and is responsible for applying machine learning and other advanced statistical techniques to provide data-driven solutions. This position is also responsible for the development and leadership of more junior level data science members. The role requires a technologically strong background with an aptitude for working with stakeholders to manage and solve complex analytical problems that help drive multiple healthcare analytics and research programs.

Work with the data analytics team to integrate and transform analytics and research programs in areas such as devices for radiological health, veterinary medicine & much more
Acquire and prepare data for various analytical and ML projects
Integrate with existing and future state platform and technology
Initial data investigation and exploratory data analysis
Take responsibility for estimating, planning, and managing work and reporting on progress

Experience developing cloud-based software services and solutions
5+ years of experience related to data, data management and/or data analytics, including creating and driving large scale ETL pipelines
3+ years of database experience (i.e. SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
2+ years of Python, R, or other software development experience (Python preferred)
2+ years of experience using major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
Proven ability to create various types of predictive models
Demonstrated attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
Experience with Unstructured Data
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex procedures to technical and non-technical colleagues
End-to-end understanding of how technologies are integrated
Master’s degree in quantitative field or equivalent experience
Machine Learning experience in a healthcare setting
Experience with Hadoop and Apache Spark cluster and management
Experience with AWS big data technologies: S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, RDS, Redshift, Athena
