Job Summary:

The Senior Data Scientist will support the data management and advanced analytics for a complex, large-scale organization, and is responsible for applying machine learning and other advanced statistical techniques to provide data-driven solutions. This position is also responsible for the development and leadership of more junior level data science members. The role requires a technologically strong background with an aptitude for working with stakeholders to manage and solve complex analytical problems that help drive multiple healthcare analytics and research programs.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the data analytics team to integrate and transform analytics and research programs in areas such as devices for radiological health, veterinary medicine & much more

  • Acquire and prepare data for various analytical and ML projects

  • Integrate with existing and future state platform and technology

  • Initial data investigation and exploratory data analysis

  • Take responsibility for estimating, planning, and managing work and reporting on progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience developing cloud-based software services and solutions

  • 5+ years of experience related to data, data management and/or data analytics, including creating and driving large scale ETL pipelines

  • 3+ years of database experience (i.e. SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

  • 2+ years of Python, R, or other software development experience (Python preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience using major cloud providers (AWS preferred)

  • Proven ability to create various types of predictive models

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and desire to probe further into data

  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

  • Experience with Unstructured Data

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex procedures to technical and non-technical colleagues

  • End-to-end understanding of how technologies are integrated


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in quantitative field or equivalent experience

  • Machine Learning experience in a healthcare setting

  • Experience with Hadoop and Apache Spark cluster and management

  • Experience with AWS big data technologies: S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, RDS, Redshift, Athena
